PROGRAM

 

1st DAY Arrival at the airport in Bari, meeting with tour leader/ interpreter. Transfer by bus to Matera, the city of the Sassi and European Capital of Culture 2019. Accommodation ***/**** hotel. In the afternoon, walk downtown and dinner in a typical restaurant, where Matera bread-based menu and typical products of local tradition will be tasted. Return to the hotel for overnight;

2nd DAY Breakfast in hotel and beginning of the Sassi guided tour. Visit to the typical Casa Grotta and to the laboratories/ craft shops’ streets. Free lunch and panoramic walk to admire the Gravina rocky landscape. Dinner in a typical restaurant. Return to the hotel for overnight;

3rd DAY Breakfast in hotel and beginning of the precious Crypt of the Original Sin guided tour, also defined the “Sistine Chapel” of South Italy. Tasting of local food and wine products. The tour continues for the near city of Miglionico, for a visit to the Castle, also defined “del Malconsiglio”, a wonderful example of military architecture during the Middle Age in South Italy. At the end of it, stop at the famous pastry shop “Tritto” for a tasting of fig and almond ice cream, a local specialty. Return to Matera for dinner and overnight in hotel;

4th DAY Breakfast in hotel and transfer by bus to Bari and departure with a scheduled flight for the return. End of services.

• Supplement per person for flight from airport of origin to Bari, payment within 60 days from departure (hand baggage only): € 150,00

• Supplement per person for transportation by GT car/minivan/minibus/bus with driver available (max 9 hours per day) as scheduled from € 267,00 (a minimum of 2 people paying) to € 145,00 (a minimum of 15 people paying)

• Supplement per person for single room accommodation: € 60,00

• 10 % discount for 3rd person with triple room accommodation

• 20 % discount for 4th person with quadruple room accommodation
