PROGRAM

 

 1st DAY Arrival at the airport in Bari/Brindisi or by bus. Meeting with tour leader/interpreter. Transfer to the hotel, dinner and overnight in San Giovanni Rotondo.

2nd DAY Breakfast and visit to San Giovanni Rotondo, pilgrimage destination from all over the world for the worship of Padre Pio and of the places where he exercised his Holy Work. The Rotonda and S. Onofrio’s ancient little Churches and Padre Pio’s humble convent contrast with the new and big Shrine. Return to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon the visit continues to Monte S. Angelo. We will visit the Shrine of S. Michele with the cave of the Archangel and the Romanesque Church of S. Maria Maggiore. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

3rd DAY Breakfast in hotel and departure for Rodi Garganico, boarding on the motor vessel and departure for an excursion on the Tremiti Islands (San Domino Island, San Nicola and sea caves). Lunch in restaurant. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

4th DAY  Breakfast in hotel and departure for the Gargano coast. First stop in Peschici with a wonderful view on the inhabited area and the characteristic domed houses. Lunch in restaurant. The tour continues to Vieste, situated on a picturesque promontory with a Castle and the ancient Church of S. Maria (we recommend a boat tour to the sea caves, optional activity at your own expense, to be organized directly on site).

5th DAY  Breakfast and transfer to Bari/Brindisi apt for the departure by plane or by bus.
